Since 2006, the venue naming rights were acquired by First Midwest Bancorp in 2006 – 2015. It has since been renamed to Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre as of July of 2015. In 1990, the venue hosted its very first artist, Cher, during her Heart of Stone tour.
The venue has showcased some of the biggest big bands in the industry, such as Phish, Disturbed and Rush. This year you can expect some of the most popular artists in the world: Van Halen, 5 Seconds of Summer, Tim McGraw, Nicki Minaj, Def Leppard, Rascal Flatts & more!
Seating
The venue has reserved seating as well as a general admission lawn area. Most of the reserved seating is under the pavilion roof from sections 101-105 & 201-208. There are some seats towards the back of the 200 level that are not covered. Reserved seating is assigned by section, row & seat number. If you are seated in the pavilion, ushers will check your ticket EVERY TIME you enter the pavilion, so keep your ticket accessible. Patrons sitting in the 100 sections will use the lower crosswalk to access their seats & to leave the pavilion. The upper crosswalk is used for patrons seated in the 200 sections as well as the lawn area. All seat numbers run from right to left when facing the stage. The lowest seat number will be on the right, while the highest seat number will be to the left.
Floor boxes can be found behind the 100 sections & are numbered from 101-160. These seat numbers also run from right to left. This area is elevated enough to have a clear sight line to the stage & over the reserved seats in front of the boxes.
There are 2 levels of sky suites which are above the lower crosswalk. The 200 & 300 levels are accessible by stairs or elevators on either side of the pavilion which require a sky box ticket to access.

Tickets in the lawn area are always general admission and can be accessed from the upper crosswalk. The lawn area is on an incline to improve stage visibility but for most shows there are jumbo screens on either side of the stage so everyone can view the performance.
Pit Area
The general admission pit area is situated in front of section 103. For most shows, seats in rows A through S are removed to make room for the pit. Seats located behind the pit are typically elevated enough so patrons can see over the standing room general admission area

The Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (originally Riverport Amphitheatre and formerly the UMB Bank Pavilion and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater) is an outdoor concertvenue in Maryland Heights, Missouri, near St. Louis.
History[edit]
The venue was built for approximately $12 million, and opened on June 14, 1991, with a performance by Steve Winwood.[2]
Shortly after opening, the amphitheater became the site of the infamous Riverport Riot, July 2, 1991, during a Guns N' Roses concert, during their Use Your Illusion Tour.[3]
In 1998, the local promoter Contemporary Group, who built the amphitheater, was acquired by SFX.[4] SFX corporate successor Live Nation Entertainment continues to own and operate the venue.
In 2002, UMB Bank acquired the naming rights to the venue for five years.[5] Verizon Wireless then purchased the naming rights in November 2006.[6]
Venue owner Live Nation announced December 17, 2014, that they had signed a multiyear agreement with Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, which is owned and operated by Penn National Gaming, to be the amphitheater's title sponsor.[7] The length of the agreement was not disclosed.[8] Even with naming rights changes, everyone in the St. Louis Area calls it by its real name 'Riverport'.
Notable events[edit]
On June 9, 2000, the bands REO Speedwagon and Styxperformed at the venue together and released Arch Allies Live at Riverport and releasing 2 single-disc versions for Styx and one for REO.
Sting performed during his Symphonicities Tour on June 23, 2010, along with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
On July 23, 2010, Kings of Leon abruptly ended their set, after only three songs, allegedly being pelted with feces by pigeons while onstage. The band gave fans their money back and later announced a makeup show. The new date was scheduled to be on September 25, 2010. Tickets were free for those who attended their last show and were $10.00 for other fans planning on attending.[9]
The amphitheatre has played host to many music festivals, including 60's Summer Spectacular, All That! Music and More Festival, Anger Management Tour, Crüe Fest, Crüe Fest 2, Family Values Tour, Farm Aid, H.O.R.D.E. Festival, Honda Civic Tour, Lilith Fair, Lollapalooza, Mayhem Festival, Ozzfest, Pointfest, Projekt Revolution, Uproar Festival and Vans Warped Tour.
