Casino Pier Rides Hours

© Karen Wall/Patch Visitors to Seaside Heights will soon be smiling as brightly as the Ferris wheel now that rides can operate again.

Casino Pier is an amusement facility center composed of numerous rides, games, and concession stands. Before Hurricane Sandy, there were 38 rides on the pier, ranging from family rides to roller coasters; other attractions include a rooftop miniature golf course, a chairlift that runs the length of the Seaside Height's boardwalk north of Casino Pier, a figure 8 Go-Kart track, and numerous. Rides, you get a card and we only did the bumper cars. Waited a long time for 1 ride and quit. You can use that same card for the arcades also which is good. No wasting of the money spent. This was our 3rd trip, 1st to this spot. Seaside had the most people wearing their face masks all around. 1000 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. Toll Free – (866) 386 – 6659. Casino Pier Rides Hours

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — If you've been waiting to hop on the Ferris wheel at Casino Pier and get a bird's eye view of the beach, it looks like the wait is nearly over, after Gov. Phil Murphy announced Tuesday that amusement and water parks could reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Murphy said playgrounds, amusement parks and water parks can reopen on July 2, just in time for the Fourth of July holiday.

That includes the amusement rides at Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach.

'We are SO excited to finally announce that the Governor has allowed Amusement Parks and Waterparks to open,' a message posted by Casino Pier on its Facebook page said. 'We know everyone is anxious to come play and to also know what the safety guidelines and restrictions will be when you come to visit.'

Murphy said those guidelines would be issued shortly. He said that in addition to reopening the amusement rides and water parks, he would announce the reopening of arcades on Wednesday. Read more: NJ Coronavirus Updates: Here's What You Need To Know

These conditions for reopening were announced Tuesday:

  • The parks must reopen at 50 percent capacity, and specific health guidance is being finalized.
  • Face coverings will be required of staff and attendees 'where practicable.'
  • Rides will be configured so that they are 6 feet apart between groups, and they must be disinfected.
  • Distance markers must be placed.

'The rides will be in operation, but moreover, we want everyone to enjoy their time responsibly,' Murphy said.

Casino Pier previously had posted some of the measures it plans to take, including having its employees wearing masks in every place where it's practical; checking the temperatures of every guest, and requiring people to use hand sanitizer before boarding rides. Hand sanitizer dispenser will be located throughout Casino Pier, and visitors will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer frequently and prior to participating in any ride, slide, attraction, playing any game, using any equipment, or walking around the properties where common touch areas are present.

More information on what Casino Pier has in place for safety procedures is available on the website. Pier officials said they would update the procedures as they get additional guidance from the state.

The name of this email club comes from Steel Pier’s historic Diving Horse. This was a memorable attraction of the Pier and those lucky enough to experience it have memories that will last a lifetime. A well-trained, water-loving horse with no fear of heights would leap off a tower into a pool of water with a woman in swimming attire on its back. The horses were loved by all and treated like royalty by fans and owners during and following a career as a historic performer.
